Merging Art & Technology
German Heller is a Buenos Aires-born technology entrepreneur, producer, and director known for spearheading immersive storytelling and digital innovation.
After teaching himself to code and a stint as a software engineer at IBM, he co-founded 3DAR in 2004 at age 23, aiming to marry visual arts with cutting-edge technology. Under his leadership as CEO, 3DAR has grown into one of Latin America's most innovative companies, earning recognition from Fast Company as #47 worldwide and #2 in the region.
Over nearly two decades, Heller has led 3DAR to international acclaim. His projects include the Emmy-nominated VR film Paper Birds starring Edward Norton, the award-winning series Gloomy Eyes narrated by Colin Farrell, and the Venice Prize-winning mixed reality game Eggscape. He is also CEO of Eggscape Entertainment, winner of the 2024 Game Changers Award. His work spans collaborations with Hollywood talent, global artists like Bad Bunny, and leading tech platforms.
Beyond creating award-winning experiences, Heller serves on international juries including Venice Immersive 2023, and advocates for immersive media as a new storytelling frontier.
